We are the leaders in Road Transport and can deliver the Driver CPC for any size of company with PCV or LGV license holding employees.

We can deliver the courses at a mutually convenient place or at your own premises. Let us take the pressure away from you and deliver our registered course which will also give those that have not done the NVQ level 2 in Road Transport a National Vocational Qualification.

Driver CPC covers the following areas:

  • Customer Care
  • Preparing the Vehicle
  • Special Needs Passengers (PCV only)
  • Sharing Information of Service
  • Deal with Difficult Passengers (PCV only)
  • Driving Safely and Efficiently
  • Operating passenger Systems (PCV only)
  • Dealing with Incidents and Emergencies
  • Monitoring the loading of the vehicle by others (LGV only)
  • maintaining the safety and security of the load (LGV only)

Training Venue –At Omnibus Training Offices in Croydon or in your workplace or at a convenient venue close to your workplace.

Training Time – 5 one day courses of 7 hours.

Driver CPC PCV-PSV Content

The aim of the driver CPC training for PCV licence holders is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of individuals who are employed in providing a bus or coach service.

Modules

Driver CPC Training Day 1 – Driving a Passenger Carrying Vehicle
Duration – 7 hrs
Sector(s) Applicable – PCV

Some of the Subject Areas Covered:

01 Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues

  • Maintain effective working relationships with your colleagues
  • Maintain effective communications with your colleagues
  • Integrate your work activities with your colleagues’ work activities

02 Contribute to health and safety in your work environment

  • Identify risks to health and safety
  • Limit danger and damage to people and property
 
Driver CPC Training Day 2 – Driving a Passenger Carrying Vehicle
Duration – 7 hrs
Sector(s) Applicable – PCV

03 Provide professional customer care in the bus and coach industry

  • Follow codes of dress and behaviour
  • Develop and maintain your work skills and knowledge
  • Develop professional relationships with customers

04 Prepare for passenger carrying journeys

  • Confirm the vehicle is roadworthy
  • Confirm the legal status of the driver and the vehicle
 
Driver CPC Training Day 3 – Driving a Passenger Carrying Vehicle
Duration – 7 hrs

05 Help Passengers who have special needs

  • Recognise passengers’ special needs
  • Respond to passengers who have special needs

06 Sharing information on the operation of the bus or coach service

  • Access and share information

Driver CPC Training Day 4 – Driving a Passenger Carrying Vehicle Duration – 7 hrs Sector(s) Applicable – PCV

07 Deal effectively with difficult passengers

  • Assess situations and decide on action needed
  • Take action to deal with difficult passengers

08 Drive passenger-carrying vehicles safely and efficiently

  • Prepare to drive the vehicle

  • Complete your driving duty
 
Driver CPC Training Day 5 – Driving a Passenger Carrying Vehicle
Duration – 7 hrs

  • Take action to deal with roadside checks by police or the VOSA
  • Take action to sort out emergencies and incidents
